Reformed party-animal Lindsay Lohan has pledged her support to troubled singers Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse by blaming the media for their public downfalls.

The Mean Girls actress - who spent last summer in rehab in Utah battling substance abuse - claims the pair will not be able to find stability in their lives all the while they are under the media spotlight.

She explains, "I think lots of people go through dark times, but it's even harder with everyone watching.

"It's a lot of pressure and I really feel for them, but I can't compare myself to them.

"Everyone is their own person and they will overcome it in their own ways."

Spears is currently being held at a Los Angeles hospital for psychiatric treatment while Winehouse is seeking help for drug addiction at a clinic in London.

Former “Baywatch” star and Playboy model Pamela Anderson takes to the stage in one of France’s most famous nude revues this month, when she performs for two nights at the Crazy Horse in Paris.

Anderson, who has recently been performing in a magic show in Las Vegas, follows Arielle Dombasle, an actress and wife of one of France’s leading intellectuals, in appearing at the Crazy Horse, a fixture in Paris night life for half a century.

Another day, another celebrity in rehab. TMZ is reporting that Eva Mendes is being treated at the Cirque Lodge in Utah. Yes, the same place Lindsay Lohan did her last rehab stint. Apparently, Eva's already been there several weeks. That's how you know you're B-List: when it takes more than a half hour for that news to get out.

Her rep issued the following statement:

"Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support. Out of respect for Eva's privacy, we do not wish to discuss further details."

I doubt anyone's going to be clamoring for further details, so rest easy, hyper publicist. And, please, give it a month and she'll be on the cover of People talking about all her inner demons.

Scientology's principal difference from these other religions is its age, which apparently you feel gives you license to publish unfair and bigoted statements about its followers. Hostility against people of faith based solely on their religious beliefs is a poison you are help spreading.

The married couple - once devout followers of the religion, a mystical off-shoot of Judaism - have sparked rumors they are no longer followers of the faith after failing to visit the Los Angeles Kabbalah center for months.

A centre insider said: "Ashton and Demi used to have an impeccable attendance record, but they haven't attended a service or come to one of the Shabbat dinners we have after Friday services for months now. It's just odd. Something must be up."

Sam Lufti gave his deposition yesterday to Kevin Federlines lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan. The line of questioning involved finding out if Britney brokered deals with X17 through Sam. Its been speculated that Sam is on the X17 payroll and Britney was receiving payouts for photos of her day-to-day life including time with the children which violates her custody agreement. Photographer Alison Silva was quoted this week saying Britney calls the paparazzi in advance, according to E! Online:

"Britney is in on it. [She] calls the paparazzi before she goes out. We know 15 minutes before she leaves the house. It's all staged," Silva said.

Reports are surfacing today that Mary-Kate Olsen wasn’t only Ledger’s landlord, she was also his girlfriend.

And it was Mary-Kate who was called instead of 911 when his body was discovered by Diane Lee Wolozin, a masseuse who had an appointment with Ledger.

“Heath is unconscious. I don’t know what to do!” Wolozin frantically cried in the phone call to Mary-Kate.
“I’m sending my private security there,” the actress replied.
“I think he may be dead. I’m calling 911!” Wolozin said.
“I already have people coming over,” Olsen replied.

Uh-ok. So can anyone tell me why MKO seemed to not want 911 to be called? Doesn’t that seem weird?

The Sundance Film Festival is more than just an opportunity for filmmakers to show off their latest efforts and, hopefully, line up some sweet distribution deals. It’s a chance for people in the entertainment industry to meet face-to-face and discuss future projects. That’s what’s happening here, hopefully. See, Paris and Jared Leto aren’t just sucking face, not to mention sucking all the hipness out of the room and the entire town of Park City. They’re in the preliminary stages of crossbreeding a strain of herpes so lethal it will cleanse the earth of humanity over the course of the next decade. Or possibly shooting a Valtrex commercial.

It’s not like this hasn’t happened before. Paris was on the scene right around the time Jared and Cameron Diaz broke up, and at one point Lindsay Lohan was ready to marry the emo rocker to piss off Paris. But a mutual friend says it’s nothing serious:

Paris and Jared are not dating seriously, but this is not the first time they have made out — there just weren’t any cameras around before. She likes him and she thinks he is really sexy and fun.

Well, thank goodness for that. The notion that those two might spawn makes Cloverfield sound about as menacing as the next High School Musical project.

Lily Allen has reportedly suffered a miscarriage after being four months pregnant. This terribly sad news was reported by The Sun on Thursday, revealing that Lily and her boyfriend, Ed Simons of the Chemical Brothers are both in a "state of shock."

Apparently Perez Hilton posted a statement from the Lily's rep:

"We can confirm that Lily Allen has suffered a miscarriage. She and her partner Ed Simons will be making no further comment and we ask that their privacy be respected during this difficult time."

Last night was a crazy one for Miss Spears. Without her new boyfriend Adnan, Britney drove with her producer/manager Sam Lutfi to the San Fernando Valley going up to 100 mph. The police quickly got involved with the car chase and pulled over Britney Spears along with the photographers who were chasing her.
A lot of photographers were cited and some were arrested but Britney Spears didn't get a ticket, the police just let her go. She then drove to Rite-Aid but it was closed so they went to Ralph's for some groceries. She stocked up on diet pepsi and potato chips. At around 2 a.m Britney along with her entourage shopped at Kitson's. She changed into the tie and shirt once she hit up Kitson Men down the street. She went shopping because she was bored. This morning Sam called the Ryan Seacrest show and denied reports that Brit was knocked up. He walked in on her during the phone interview and she told him to get out because she was naked. via People: During a strange radio interview with one of Britney Spears's friends on Thursday, the pop singer's voice suddenly came on the line, speaking from the shower.

$500M With Social Site From Penthouse

In what may be a record in the adult-entertainment industry, Penthouse
magazine's publisher says it paid $500 million for a Silicon Valley
company running one of the biggest sexually oriented social-networking
websites.

The deal announced Wednesday for Palo Alto-based
Various adds AdultFriendFinder to Penthouse's portfolio as it expands
further into the fast-growing field of social networks led by MySpace
and Facebook.

"That's where the money is," said Marc Bell, CEO of Penthouse Media Group.

The deal comes as the $13 billion
adult-entertainment industry shifts more resources online amid rising
competition and a plunge in sales and rentals of X-rated DVDs and
related fare.

Penthouse hopes to prosper by gobbling up as
many adult-focused companies as possible, Bell said, with an eye toward
taking Penthouse public. He and his partner, Daniel Staton, bought
Penthouse in 2004 in a bankruptcy court reorganization.

Experts on the adult industry said they could
not recall a deal bigger than the one announced Wednesday. "Likely,
it's a record," says Frederick Lane, author of Obscene Profits: The Entrepreneurs of Pornography in the Cyber Age. "It really underscores the shift from traditional media to new media."

With Various, Penthouse says it will have
revenue of $340 million this year, making it the world's biggest
adult-entertainment company. Lane said the deal is a further challenge
to Playboy Enterprises, (PLA) which Hugh Hefner founded in 1953.

Playboy said it is not concerned about the Penthouse deal because the companies are in different markets.

Now led by Hefner's daughter, CEO Christie
Hefner, Playboy has diversified into non-sexual businesses including
household products as humdrum as shower curtains, and PlayboyU, a new
social network for college students. That site has no nudity,
spokeswoman Martha Lindeman says. Playboy reported $330 million in
revenue and $2.3 million in earnings for 2006.

Various was founded in 1996 by Andrew Conru, an
entrepreneur with a doctorate in mechanical engineering design from
Stanford University. It has about 300 employees and more than 25 online
communities, including non-sexual dating sites for Spanish speakers,

Nicole Richie has won a delay in her driving under the influence case.

Superior Court Commissioner Steven K. Lubell on Tuesday set a new date of July 11 at the request of a defense attorney.

That means the trial could start on that date or within the following 10 days, said Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for prosecutors.

Richie, the 25-year-old daughter of pop singer Lionel Richie, was arrested Dec. 11. She pleaded not guilty in February to misdemeanor driving under the influence.

In addition to the single count, the case contains an allegation that Richie had a prior misdemeanor DUI conviction in June 2003

Troubled actress LINDSAY LOHAN has cancelled her 21st birthday party in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Mean Girls star was last month (May07) charged with driving under the influence after crashing her car in Beverly Hills, California. She checked into a rehab facility shortly afterwards.

Lohan has now called off the two-day bash, which she had planned to hold at the city's Pure nightclub, to celebrate her landmark birthday of 2 July (07).

Her spokesperson says, "The party was cancelled officially over two weeks ago. We were confused why Pure was even still promoting it.

"But Lindsay will not be having the birthday party at Pure and is focusing on her recovery 100 per cent."
