Reformed party-animal Lindsay Lohan has pledged her support to troubled singers Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse by blaming the media for their public downfalls.

The Mean Girls actress - who spent last summer in rehab in Utah battling substance abuse - claims the pair will not be able to find stability in their lives all the while they are under the media spotlight.

She explains, "I think lots of people go through dark times, but it's even harder with everyone watching.

"It's a lot of pressure and I really feel for them, but I can't compare myself to them.

"Everyone is their own person and they will overcome it in their own ways."

Spears is currently being held at a Los Angeles hospital for psychiatric treatment while Winehouse is seeking help for drug addiction at a clinic in London.

Another day, another celebrity in rehab.  TMZ is reporting that Eva Mendes is being treated at the Cirque Lodge in Utah.  Yes, the same place Lindsay Lohan did her last rehab stint.  Apparently, Eva's already been there several weeks.  That's how you know you're B-List: when it takes more than a half hour for that news to get out.

Her rep issued the following statement:

"Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support. Out of respect for Eva's privacy, we do not wish to discuss further details."

I doubt anyone's going to be clamoring for further details, so rest easy, hyper publicist.  And, please, give it a month and she'll be on the cover of People talking about all her inner demons.

At a wrap up party for Disney (which also starred Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake) her uncle also nicknamed "Raod Kill Willie" saw the kids go into the bathroom with a bottle of alcohol. "The had a bottle of gin and slipped away to the bathroom to drink it. I saw them going." Her marijuana use started at 14 and since her brother was the star of the football team she was exposed to drinking/drugs at parties. The uncle also blames Brit's father Jaime for drinking day and night and arguing with her mother Lynne. Brit would even call her Uncle crying to come pick her up.. On her 18th b-day he smoked pot and did a line of coke with her . William revealed: "I know she did cocaine on her 18th birthday - I was there. "We were at a party in an apartment and I spotted her doing a line just before I did one. We smoked pot together too." She would drink so much at times that she would pass out at clubs.

The White House has postponed an event slated for today with President Bush promoting an ad preventing prescription drug abuse fearing charges of being seen as “opportunistic” following the death of Heath Ledger.
